Work to repair the A11 near Barton Mills

Amey are working on behalf of Highways England to repair the road surface of the A11. This work will include resurfacing the A11 between the Red Lodge junction and the Barton Mills roundabout.

Subject to weather conditions, they plan to complete this work between Wednesday 22 March and Saturday 15 April, working from 8pm to 6am on weeknights only. They apologise for any delays this may create.

To keep road users at a safe distance from the works, they will close the A11 while they are working northbound between the Red Lodge junction and the Barton Mills roundabout. There will be a clearly signed diversion route in place, whereby drivers will be diverted:

  • Along the A14 towards the Bury St Edmunds, before leaving at junction 40,then;
  • Take the B1103 toward Forrnham All Saints, then;
  • Take the A1101 towards Lackford and Icklingham, then;
  • Continue until re-join the A11 at the Barton Mills roundabout
